The National Wine Awards of Aotearoa New Zealand celebrates its fourth year and is proud to be the country’s only National Wine Awards.

Championing its purpose of identifying, celebrating and elevating excellence in New Zealand wine, the competition continues to excel under the eagle eye and steady hand of Chair of Judges, Jane Cooper, along with the unwavering commitment from the Auckland A&P Association.

The competition once again welcomes an incredible team of judges, bringing together an extraordinary wealth of experience along with incredible new talent nurtured through its Associate Judge programme.

The National Wine Awards acknowledges the wonderful network of sponsors that so generously support this competition and our incredible industry, recognising that it’s these partnerships that bring this competition to life.

Again this year, the National Wine Awards utilises a customised online judging system which enables a judging comment for every wine entered to be sent to entrants with the results, and the Alternative Styles class returns for its second year, providing an opportunity for lofi and natural-style wines that sometimes don’t fit so easily within traditional varietal classes.
